We invite a skilled ORTHODONTIST to join the Maine's largest FQHC/community health center system in Bangor – Maine’s third largest city. This organization is on a mission to increase access to exceptional dental care for all members of their community. You will practice in their large general dental clinic that supports integration between general dentistry and orthodontics, and between dental care and primary care. They seek to treat the whole person!

This is a spacious, well-appointed facility with a collegial professional environment and the latest in dental technology (Iterro scanner for digital modeling and submissions, CBCT, Pan, and Ceph machine directly within the ortho wing of the clinic, IV laser primarily used in orthodigital x-rays, electronic dental records, CBCT and Cerac) along with an on-site pharmacy. Join an innovative dental program that was the first in Maine to employ a Dental Therapist.

This dental program offers a full range of preventive and specialty care including restorative, fixed and removable prosthetics, and urgent/walk-in care. This includes traditional braces and clear aligners (Spark). Your target will be to manage 27 encounters/day on average, supported by 3 assistants and 4 clinical operatories. You also have the option to provide walk-in care support if desired.

This nonprofit FQHC offers an integrated Medical Home Model. They provide services to all, regardless of ability to pay, including primary care, addiction treatment and substance abuse, women’s health, podiatry, mental health care and more, such as shelter and transitional housing and healthcare for the homeless. Over 900 employees – including 200+ clinical providers – operate 16 practices and program service sites to treat thousands of area residents. You will appreciate the supportive patients, the engaged leadership, and an excellent, experienced dental support staff. Join a leading primary care provider and teaching center (with family nurse practitioner and pharmacy residency programs). Here, success is measured by assuring the health of the community and patient satisfaction while offering individual personal dignity. This is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
