Bangor: A respected 400-bed regional medical center seeks a full-time Endocrinologist to join its hospital-employed outpatient Diabetes & Endocrinology service. Physicians with an interest in diabetes care, thyroid disease, ultrasound-guided procedures, and/or pregnancy-related endocrinology will find excellent support and meaningful volume in this recognized referral hub. You will practice in a well-equipped, ADA-recognized outpatient center staffed by an experienced team that includes 2 Nurse Practitioners, 2 Certified Diabetes Educators, RNs, MAs, dietitians, and admin support. Together, this team provides consultative care for a large regional referral base with more than 1,500 active patients. Services include diabetes education and insulin management (including gestational diabetes and pregnancy clinics), thyroid care, nutritional counseling, and management of other endocrine disorders. Two in-office ultrasound units support procedures such as FNAs and thyroid aspirations. A dedicated procedure room, individualized offices, and 1-2 exam rooms per provider ensure a productive and professional clinical environment. This is an outpatient-only position offering flexible scheduling, with your choice of a 4- or 5-day workweek. The clinic operates at a reasonable pace, and you can expect to see 10-14 patients per day. In addition to excellent specialty support, this center collaborates with referring primary care providers throughout the state. Teaching opportunities are available through the hospital’s unopposed Family Medicine Residency Program and rotating medical students.
