Augusta: We seek a skilled Physiatrist to join the important Physiatry and Pain Management practice in a state-of-the-art 192-bed regional medical center located in Maine’s dynamic capital city, just one hour from Portland. This physician-led nonprofit hospital is the area’s largest private employer and Maine’s third largest healthcare system. The incoming Physiatrist will enjoy a convenient weekday schedule with built in admin time every day. You will join a collaborative team of three physicians, four nurse practitioners and a psychologist, plus RNs and MAs – all enthusiastic about evidence-based occupational medicine in this outpatient setting.

 

Here you will treat the “whole person,” not just the area of pain/injury. You will have plenty of time to hear from your patients, and to answer their questions. You will offer treatments and make referrals for physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, rehabilitation, exercise programs, orthotics and prosthetics, counseling, etc., while helping your patients find relief from pain.
