Maine:

Augusta: We invite a skilled Physiatrist to join the Physiatry and Pain Management practice within Maine’s newest hospital – a state-of-the-art 192-bed regional medical center in the dynamic capital city just one hour from Portland. This physician-led nonprofit hospital is the Kennebec Valley's largest private employer and Maine’s third largest healthcare system, serving over 65,000 area residents, and committed to positively impact the health of the community through services and involvement. This is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer. In this important role, you will provide hands-on care, working with a dedicated team of specialists – three Physicians, four NPs, a Psychologist, RNs and MAs – all of whom are enthusiastic about evidence-based occupational medicine. Together, you will provide a broad range of outpatient services along with caring for inpatients in an exceptional 20-bed acute rehab unit. Each outpatient Physician is supported by a Nurse Practitioner and a Medical Assistant. You will treat the “whole person,” not just the area of pain/injury. You will make referrals for physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, rehabilitation, exercise programs, orthotics and prosthetics, counseling, etc., while setting realistic goals and helping your patients find relief from pain. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled specialist to join a key team doing important work, making a measurable difference in the quality of life of your patients. You will enjoy a convenient M-F schedule with built in admin time every day. The selected physician will be employed by the hospital, and will earn an extremely competitive salary plus a leadership stipend and an overall package that includes paid relocation, generous earned time off plus paid holidays, insurance (medical, dental, life, and disability), more paid time off plus a budget for your CME, a choice of three pension plans, and more! Multiyear medical education loan repayment is available too, if applicable! You will be employed by the hospital and earn a highly competitive salary plus benefits including relocation assistance, insurance (liability, health, dental, vision, disability, life), plenty of paid time off for vacations, more paid leave plus a budget for your CME, and your choice of retirement plans with employer matching. Generous, multiyear medical education loan repayment is also available!
