Augusta: We invite a skilled Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the superb medical staff of Maine’s newest hospital – a state-of-the-art 192-bed regional medical center (less than five years old) in Maine's dynamic capital city, just one hour from Portland. This physician-led medical center is Maine’s third largest healthcare system. You will be employed by the hospital, and practice in a dedicated Outpatient Wound Clinic with a new Hyperbaric chamber on site. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will perform outpatient procedures (including occasional use of the hyperbaric chamber), provide consults and follow-ups, see post-op patients, and occasionally round on inpatients, participating in their discharges. In addition, you will provide education to patients, family members and other caregivers. This medical center is home to an unopposed Family Medicine residency program, so opportunities to teach physician residents may be available. You will earn an excellent income starting with a competitive salary, plus paid relocation to beautiful Maine, paid liability insurance, health insurance, earned time for sick leave and vacations, paid time off plus a budget for your CME, and more. Student loan assistance may also available!
