Providence: We invite a skilled, compassionate Fellowship-trained Pain specialist to practice as an Interventional Physiatrist in a prominent and growing Spine Center in beautiful Providence, Rhode Island – 45 minutes from Boston! New Fellows are welcome – and J1 or H1b visa sponsorship may be available. Join a friendly team of enthusiastic, caring specialists, therapists and nurses who work every day to improve the quality of life of their patients. You will provide comprehensive management of spinal disorders and musculoskeletal conditions, in collaboration with a comprehensive neurosurgery department, and under the clinical leadership of a medical director and the Chief of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. You will participate in interventional procedures including diagnostic and therapeutic blocks, intrathecal therapies, radio frequency ablations, and spinal cord stimulation. You will manage a prominent, growing Intrathecal Pump program, so you must be proficient with pump refills, management, trials, and implants. You will perform inpatient consults as appropriate. You will share in expanding the spine program by networking with primary care, specialists, and practitioners within the hospital system, and at the community level. Ideal candidates will be trained in an ACGME-Accredited Pain Fellowship and achieved Board Certification. Are you still in your Fellowship? That’s fine! We’ll be happy to talk to you now! Become part of a cutting-edge practice in an Ivy League academic medical center where you will provide direct patient care, teach residents (in Neurosurgery, Neurology and Orthopedics) and medical students, and participate in clinical research. You need top communication skills to relate empathetically with patients and their families, and other members of the healthcare team. You will train and oversee an advanced practice provider, and collaborate with the nursing and administrative team. Enjoy a convenient weekday schedule in this rewarding, multi-faceted role! You will be employed by the medical center, and earn a highly competitive base salary plus many benefits including paid relocation to this popular New England city, paid liability insurance, health, disability and life insurance, participation in a range of retirement plans with employer contributions, 4 weeks of paid vacation time PLUS 9 paid holidays, an additional week of PTO plus a budget for your CME, and more.
