Current needs are in the following fields: Hematopathology, Surgical/Breast Pathology, Cytopathology, and Gastrointestinal/Liver Pathology. Also available: a key position in Autopsy Pathology with a potential leadership role (with an affiliated medical center in upstate New York). Join more than two dozen Pathologists in the prominent Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine with the University of Vermont Medical Center. This respected healthcare system serves nearly one million regional residents through 6 medical centers. The Pathology service provides the regional reference laboratory for Vermont, upstate New York, and upstate New Hampshire, managing over 40,000 specimens annually. St. Albans: We seek a skilled PATHOLOGIST to join a state-of-the-art 70-bed hospital in this desirable New England city 30 minutes north of Burlington. Join the dedicated Laboratory Services Team and provide Clinical and Anatomic Pathology services to aid in the diagnosis of disease conditions and treatments for inpatients and outpatients. You will collaborate with members of the medical staff and clinical care teams, providing expert advice. You will help ensure hospital compliance with College of American Pathologists, CLIA ’88, Joint Commission, etc. This is a full time hospital-employed position. You will share in the call that supports the laboratory and medical staff. Pathologists here have a role in hospital and laboratory Quality Management programs, as well as providing continuing medical education to promote staff development. An ideal candidate will be Board Certified in Clinical Pathology and Anatomic Pathology and interested in supporting efforts to improve test utilization and the implementation of new technologies.
