Bucksport: We seek a confident Primary Care physician to join a well-established Federally Qualified Health Center as their Medical Director. Physicians trained in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or IM/Peds are all encouraged to apply. You will oversee the entire clinician program and lead quality improvement efforts with the goal of providing excellent emotional and physical healthcare to regional patients of all ages. As the Consult Service Lead for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, you will have a hands-on clinical role that includes performing inpatient consults as you lead your team in developing, implementing and improving the quality of services – reporting to the Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. This group interacts with existing programs to provide seamless integrated patient care designed to reduce readmissions. Join 19 Physiatrists practicing in various hospital departments – a friendly team of enthusiastic, caring specialists, therapists and nurses, working every day to improve the quality of life of their patients through interventional and pain medicine. As the Medical Director of the hospital’s 13-bed inpatient rehab unit, you will provide direct care to patients in the unit, and will be responsible for effective patient flow in and out of the unit, including the screening of appropriate patients, leading the multi-disciplinary team for coordination of care, and the discharge disposition of patients.
